Known internally as the 120 series, the Amazon was built from the mid-1950s until 1970 as a four-door, as the two-door P130 and as the P220 estate. The single-carburettor 121 with a B18 or B20 is the most common version, while the twin-SU 122 Sport and the 123 GT, with its stronger engine and front disc brakes, are the ones enthusiasts chase hardest. Estates have a loyal following of their own, and later B20 cars tend to be the easiest to use regularly.
