Jaguar cars are bought and sold at auction on Bidders Highway, where British sports cars and sporting saloons from the 1950s onwards change hands on a regular basis. Few marques have combined speed and elegance so consistently, and that mix still explains much of the enthusiasm around them.

The post-war XK line, from the XK120 through the XK140 and XK150, set the tone and introduced the twin-cam straight-six that served the company for decades. The E-Type remains one of the most sought-after sports cars of all, with strong interest in both the early six-cylinder cars and the later V12s. Among the saloons, the Mark models and the XJ are firm classics, while the XJ6, XJ Sovereign and the quicker XJR and XKR versions have gained a following of their own. The V8-powered XK8 still offers a great deal of car for the money.
