The XK150 replaced the XK140 in 1957 and closed the XK line before the E-type arrived. A wider body, a curved one-piece windscreen and disc brakes all round set it apart from its predecessors. The 3.4-litre twin-cam six came in several states of tune, with SE specification a common step up, and from 1959 the larger 3.8-litre engine was offered alongside the S versions with triple carburettors. The open two-seater roadster joined the range in 1958 and is usually the most sought-after body style, followed by the drophead coupé, while the fixed head coupé tends to be the most affordable way in. Cars from 1957–1959 have been well represented among the XK150s listed here.
Check sills, floors, A-posts and the bulkhead area for corrosion, and inspect the chassis for past accident damage. Matching numbers, carburettor specification, overdrive and documented history all shape value. Jaguar XK150s for sale, and consignments from owners looking to sell, are handled through our auctions.
