Basic Information & Background

The Jaguar Mark II is a sports sedan that was a favorite with bank robbers and policemen alike, but was mostly aimed at the upper class who needed a bigger car with sports car performance! This car was delivered new to the first owner here in Sweden with the 3.4L engine of 210 hp and a really nice and unique spec. The Pearl Gray paint provides a really nice contrast to the lipstick red leather upholstery and you get a lot of looks. The car has only had 5 owners, all of whom have been great enthusiasts, one of the most recent of which gave the car a solid renovation.

The renovation took place in 2015 - 2019 and was well documented in book form with a lot of pictures of all the work for those interested and you can also see them in the album below!

Condition

Exterior: The car has driven a couple of thousand km after the renovation, which you can also see from the condition. The chrome is in top condition with i.a. new original front and rear bumpers that break nicely against the light gray paint. The paintwork is in good condition but there are a couple of minor remarks that can be seen in the pictures, but the car presents itself very well! A couple of minor flakes and marks are documented in the pictures.

Exterior parts that were changed in connection with the renovation:

  • All aluminum moldings (not the windshield molding)
  • Jaguar "emblem" on the hood and the red Jaguar badge on the grill
  • Splash guard
  • Rear lights
  • The tailgate handle
  • Rear view mirrors
  • Rubber strips around doors, windows and tailgate.

Interior: The interior is in a nice original condition with a really nice patina. The seats are in very good condition with very little wear, as is the steering wheel and original dashboard. However, there is a small hole in the back seat and on the backrest, but nothing that interferes with either function or appearance. There is also a modern radio with bluetooth and new door panels and floor mats.

Mechanical: Inspected in May 2017 without remarks and is now both tax and inspection exempt. Engine and box have been overhauled with many new parts. Brand new brakes all around and new tires. The mileage is only 7095 miles but cannot be guaranteed and is sold as "TMU" (True mileage unknown).

Mechanical parts that were changed in connection with the renovation:

  • Rubber bushings for front anti-roll bars.
  • Upper and lower spindle joints.
  • Battery
  • Tires with inner tubes
  • Stainless exhaust system
  • Brake discs and brake pads
  • Hub hubs with bearings and center nut.
  • Master brake cylinder
  • Brake servo
  • Brake pipes and hoses
  • Knot cross to the gimbal
  • All radiator hoses
  • Hydraulic clutch cylinder and release bearing
  • Crankshaft seal
  • Connecting rod bearings and piston rings.
  • Oil filter adapter.
  • Distributor caps and switch tips.
  • Lucas fuel pumps
