The 1996 Mercedes-Benz E 320 T is an elegant estate car from Stuttgart that combines comfort and reliability with a legendary straight-six (M104) that delivers just the right amount of power. The car has been extensively improved with a new wiring harness, repaint, replacement of brakes and a replaced gearbox. All work is costly and carried out with consideration for function and aesthetics. Rims and tyres are brand new.

Condition

Body and exterior condition: The body is in good condition with a recent repaint and polishing. The paint is smooth and professionally done. The front fenders and hood have been replaced. The windows and chrome, moldings and emblems show no notable defects except for the left rear side window whose rubber moldings are slightly uneven (see pictures). There are small marks in the paint here and there on the body (see pictures). The paint has cracked slightly in the front bumper, to the right of the license plate, and there is a dull area below the left headlight. Small rust bubbles are visible under the paint above the left headlight, on the tailgate under the rear window and under the right rear side window. The left rear door has a mark on the front edge by the chrome molding. The plastic panels are slightly unevenly attached and some have cracks. Study the pictures carefully to form your own opinion.

Interior: Black leather electric seats, Sportline, electric windows front and rear. The interior has no visible damage or defects and the headliner is in new condition. The steering wheel, controls and panel are clean and undamaged.

Tires and rims: Equipped with newly bought AMG rims (showing some scratches, see pictures) and new tires purchased for approximately SEK 40,000.

Mechanics and function: The M104 six is described as being in good condition with a new wiring harness fitted. The brake system has recently been serviced (new ventilated discs and pads). The gearbox has recently been replaced and the drivetrain has been serviced. All electrical functions including electric windows and cruise control work according to the seller.

Service history

The service book is reportedly filled out according to the manufacturer's intervals and the car has recently undergone extensive service ("major service"). Gearbox replacement, engine service, including replacement of cable harness, oil change, new filters including cabin filter have recently been carried out. The latest inspection was carried out on 2025-04-29 with a passing result and there are service records and receipts available documenting the measures taken and purchases.
