Basic information and history

The Volvo XC70 of model year 2003 belongs to the second generation of Volvo's raised estate car, built on the P2 platform and closely related to the V70 of the same generation. The model was originally launched as the V70 XC but, from this model year onward, received its own name XC70, as Volvo established the XC family alongside the XC90. The car combines increased ground clearance, heavy-duty bumpers and plastic-clad wheel arches with the practical qualities of the classic estate body. Under the bonnet sits Volvo's five-cylinder 2.5-litre turbo engine, with power distributed to all four wheels via an electronically controlled Haldex system. The XC70 became a significant success in the North American market, where the model appealed to buyers who wanted four-wheel drive and load capacity without having to choose a traditional SUV.

This XC70 has been imported from the USA and is therefore not originally sold in Sweden. The odometer reading is stated to be 219,500 kilometres, which the seller, however, cannot guarantee. The car has had a total of four owners. There is no deductible VAT and the vehicle is free from loans. The seller describes the car as a unique rig and states that an accompanying trailer is included.

  • Electrically adjustable front seats, both sides

The seller states that the car is fundamentally in original condition. The deviations present consist of the fitted 20-inch alloy wheels with new tyres, as well as the double-DIN unit with DVD function, both of which should be regarded as later additions in relation to the factory specification.

Condition

The body is described as being in excellent condition, and the paint is said to be in good condition. The windows are, according to the seller, in excellent condition.

The interior is in good condition according to the seller, while the instrument panel and headliner are both described as being in excellent condition. The climate control works, as do the sound and media system, the trip meter and all other electronics. The instrument panel is free of warning lights and all seatbelts function.

Tyres and wheels are in excellent condition, which is explained by the fact that both the 20-inch wheels and the tyres are new.

Mechanically, the seller states that the engine is in excellent condition, and that it starts and runs flawlessly. The gearbox is likewise described as being in excellent condition and shifts without issue. The brakes are stated to be in excellent condition. The car is drivable as it stands and has passed inspection, most recently carried out on 23 September 2026 according to the seller.

Service history

The seller states that the car has been fully serviced. The service history is documented with receipts and paperwork that accompany the vehicle.
