The 1965 Ford Mustang Hardtop marked the first full model year for the car that defined the pony car segment. When purchased, the body was white, but during the work it was discovered that the original color was Burgundy Red. The car was then professionally painted in the original color Burgundy Red in 2020. The renovation was carried out with the goal of preserving as many original parts as possible, and where parts needed to be replaced, components from VP Autoparts, Rolands Mustang, RockAuto, Kentucky Mustang and Maryland Mustang were used, among others.
