The CEO has the floor - June
The month of June began with anticipation – not least because May, which started slowly, ended at record speed. We were curious to see if the trend would continue. It did – and more. June was an outstanding month on Bidders Highway, with many strong closings and continued great engagement from both buyers and sellers.
Among this month's veterans, we would like to highlight a few favorites.
1961 Volvo P1800 - 225.000 SEK
A Swedish-sold Volvo P1800 from 1961 in working condition was auctioned for 225,000 SEK – a car that always attracts attention and continues to be sought after both at home and abroad.
1967 Austin-Healy 3000 - 585.000 SEK
We also saw a fully restored Austin-Healey 3000 MK3 Phase 2 from 1967 that sold for 585,000 SEK – proof that well-restored British sports cars still have a strong market.
1961 Chrysler Windsor Copupé- 200.000 SEK
Another favorite was the classic Chrysler Windsor Coupé from 1961, which went for 200,000 SEK – character in its cubic form and a design heritage that stands out.
1967 Fiat 500 - 175.000 SEK
And then of course we have the little pistachio green Fiat 500 Lusso that puts smiles on people's faces wherever it appears. Sold in June for 175,000 SEK during one of our No Reserve meetups – and we hope it's rolling around at some summer meetup already.
Speaking of meetings – we have invested heavily in being more visible and meeting you in real life. And what a response we have received! A real highlight was The Aurora in Norrviken's gardens in Båstad, where we had the chance to talk to many of you and show what Bidders Highway is all about. We will continue to appear at meetings around the country all summer – and well into the fall.
Finally, we want to take a stab at two things that really affect the outcome of an auction: good pictures and clear communication. We offer professional photography at a very reasonable price – and time and again we see that professional photos can increase the final price by up to 30%. Equally important is the comments field: there you can ask follow-up questions, get more information or even book a viewing before the auction ends. So keep asking, get help from a photographer – and bid with your heart.
See you out there!
