Basic information and History

Unusual Mercedes-Benz SLK 32 AMG from 2001 with approx. 120,870km on the odometer. The car was imported from the first owner in Germany back in 2004 by the current owner's father. At the time of import, the car had driven approx. 73,000km and always stored in a warm garage. The car has received a number of nice upgrades which are specified further down in the ad.

  • Tuned Mercedes-Benz SLK 32 AMG
  • 2001 model with 120,870km on the odometer
  • Only three owners since new

This SLK 32 AMG comes with an original 3.2-liter hand-built V6 with a compressor of approx. 355hp/450nm connected to a 5-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive. However, the engine has been modified and produces more power than the original. Modifications consist of, among other things, headers and camshafts from Kleemann, upgraded crank and compressor wheel, supercharger increased to approx. 1.6 bar, Needwing intake, SL55 pipes, other injectors for E85, double cooling system and water-cooled intercooler and stainless exhaust system from Ferrita,

In order to cope with the higher power, the car has also received an Autronic SM4 Quaife differential and the gearbox is upgraded with full-flow solenoids and prepared with several lamellae. The spec is the same as in the SLR McLaren. The box is also upgraded with stage two "True manual" mode, so you can actually lock the box in any gear.

Equipment and Options

Equipped with, among other things, OEM factory kit from AMG consisting of a skirt package and sports seats in full leather with AMG logo. Rims from OZ Racing are installed as well as RAID steering wheel (with working airbag). Cruise control is available. An aftermarket front has also been installed and the rear lights have been replaced with all-black diode lights with smoke-coloured glass. The A/C system has been removed to make room for the intercooler and cooling. In the options list, the following is specified:

Condition

The general condition of the bodywork is described as overall very good. The car is described as stainless. There are some door hinges as well as bumps and a bit of scuffed paint in a couple of places. The scratch can be found, among other things, at the bottom of the taillight, on the rear fender and on the side of the door towards the body. There are scratches on the skirt and the front edge of the door as well. Windows and lens are in good condition. Most of the remarks are relatively minor and the overall impression is, however, that the car is fine considering its age and mileage. Look through all the pictures to get an idea of the condition of the body. Questions can most easily be asked in the question field, where the owner himself answers them.

The general condition of the interior is described as good. The seats have held up well but there is the usual dryness in the leather on the driver's side bolster. Door handles are slightly worn. Door sills with AMG logo in good condition. Door sides as well. Steering wheel, controls and buttons in good condition. Center console is slightly worn. Inner ceiling in very good condition.

Engine is described as being in excellent condition. The engine has been modified according to the specification above and runs like a scalded troll! Gearbox and drivetrain are noiseless and work perfectly. Brake discs are described as old with ok ok but fully functional. Mechanically, everything works as it should.

The car has been well serviced and there is a lot of documentation, however, some papers have unfortunately disappeared when the previous owner passed away. The car has had its oil changed every 2000-3000km since 2004, and at least twice a year. Last inspection was carried out in 2020.

Summary

An absolutely nimble little machine with enough horses to outrun significantly more expensive, and on paper, faster cars! This is a perfect summer cab for those who like active driving and are not afraid of proper performance!
