Mercedes-Benz 300 E-24 (1991)
Basic Information and History
This 1991 Mercedes-Benz 300 E-24 is a Swedish-sold example with a recorded mileage of 292,000 km. The car has had a total of four owners, the third of whom kept the car for over 20 years. For 13 of those years, it was stored off the road in a heated garage, where it was rediscovered by the current owner in 2021. Since then, the car has been driven approximately 25,000 km.
This model represents one of the highlights of the W124 series – the inline-six engine with 24 valves offers both comfort and performance in a classic, robust Mercedes package.
Equipment and Options
This car is unusually well-equipped for its time. It features:
- Leather upholstery, including door panels
- Power windows all around
- Working electric sunroof
- Functional climate control (AC)
- Self-leveling suspension
- ABS brakes
- Anti-slip regulation system (ASR)
It comes with original wheels fitted with high-quality summer tires (approx. 6–7 mm tread depth).
Condition
Body & Paint:
The body is in good condition for its age – some minor marks and scratches, but no visible dents. The windshield has recently been replaced. The rear window has minor discoloration around the edges. The front fenders have previously been repaired and repainted at the lower edges; otherwise, the paint is believed to be original. Overall, the exterior presents very well.
Interior:
The interior is very well-preserved. The dashboard is free from cracks, and the wood trim is in good condition. The gear selector knob has some small surface cracks in the lacquer. The driver’s seat shows light wear on the outer bolster but no other notable damage to the seats, door panels, or headliner. All electronics function properly, including the AC, power windows, interior lighting, and sunroof.
Mechanical:
The engine is in good condition and remains unmodified. The transmission shifts smoothly and without issue, and the drivetrain is quiet and tight. The braking system has recently been serviced – new front discs and pads, as well as new parking brake pads. The car passed its latest inspection (April 30, 2025) with flying colors and even brake values.
Service History
The service book is missing due to theft during previous ownership, but the car has been serviced regularly by the current owner – a professional mechanic specializing in classic cars – since its return to the road.
The most recent service was recently completed and included:
- Oil change
- Oil filter replacement
- New spark plugs
- New distributor cap, rotor, and other ignition components
Several older inspection records are included.
Summary
This is a well-preserved Mercedes-Benz 300 E-24 in excellent original condition, with a known history and professional ongoing maintenance. It combines classic Mercedes quality with a strong and characterful six-cylinder engine and is also unusually well-equipped for its era.
A great opportunity for the enthusiast seeking a truly fine W124 with character, history, and substance.

Hej Roberth
Filip
