Basic information and history
The Porsche 911 SC is a model that is often considered to be a perfect bridge between the analog, classic 911s of the sixties and seventies and the modern era with significantly more electronics. The SC model was launched in 1978 and quickly became a favorite thanks to its robust 3.0-liter air-cooled boxer six and is considered by many to be among the most reliable 911s. The 1982 model year is also one of the last before the Carrera 3.2 took over, which makes the examples particularly interesting on the collector's market and for enthusiasts who appreciate real driving sensations.
This example started in Germany in the summer of 1983 and was imported to Sweden around 1985/86. Since then, the car has been owned by several enthusiasts. Ownership history is available from 1992 onwards, but the period before that is partly unknown. The current odometer reading is 201,647 km; however, there is a slight uncertainty about a few thousand kilometers that were not registered due to a odometer stop, but the seller's information is that it can be a maximum of 10,000 km in total.
Over the years, the car has been fitted with specific racing-inspired modifications such as RS bumpers, plastic engine cover and front hatch, and a stripped-down interior, giving it a distinct a rowdy feel. The majority of the original parts remain (except for the exhaust system and shock absorbers).
It is noteworthy that the last owner has used the car sparingly, and that the engine and gearbox have undergone renovations during previous ownership. The heat chambers have been removed, and the engine is not lead-free converted and will therefore run on leaded fuel.
Equipment and options
- Electric lifts
- Sunroof
- Stereo (replaced)
- RS bumper, engine cover and front lid (plastic)
- Sparco shell seats (original included)
- Luisi mocca-covered steering wheel (original steering wheel included)
- 4-point seat belt on driver's seat
- Steel-braided brake hoses and hard brake pads
- Fuchs 15” rims
- Bilstein CS shock absorbers
- Rear torsion bars from Turbo
- Steering tie rod from Turbo
- Fabspeed exhaust system
- Heigo half cage
- "Cup" rearview mirrors (plastic)
Several racing-specific modifications have been carried out over the last 10–15 years, including the bonnet, front hatch and bumpers being replaced with lighter plastic components in the RS style. The car has also received Bilstein CS shock absorbers and a Fabspeed exhaust system. The brakes have been improved with steel-braided hoses and harder pads. The rear seats and parts of the interior have been removed for lower weight, and a Heigo half-cage has been fitted. Almost all original parts such as the steering wheel, front seats, rear seat, engine hatch are included (excluding exhaust system and shock absorbers etc.).
Condition
Body and paint: The car has been wrapped for about ten years, so it is difficult to say for sure about the underlying paint, but the seller's assessment is that it is worn. Minor dents and scratches may occur under the wrapping. There is some rust, mainly under the headlights on the front fenders, at the left kickstand against the door and a little under the windshield. RS bumpers front and rear, as well as the engine cover and front hatch, all in plastic.
Interior: The interior is worn and racing-inspired – the rear seats have been removed (they remain) and replaced with carpets, the current seats are Sparco shell seats (the originals remain) where the right one is not adjustable. The panel in front of the gear lever has been dismantled and the door sides have buckled. There is no heating as the heating chambers have been removed and the sound-absorbing material under the carpets has been removed. The headliner is intact but aged. The steering wheel has been replaced but the original steering wheel remains.
Electronics and functions: The horn only works sporadically (known fault), wipers stop in the position you turn them off. No heat and some wear on older electrical components.
Tires and rims: Continental ContiPremiumContact 2 mounted on Fuchs 15-inch rims. The tires are in good condition with 6–7 mm of tread depth remaining. Two of the rims have wear and minor marks on the rim and surface finish.
Mechanics: According to the previous owner, the engine was overhauled by Porsche specialist Sune Jansson about 20,000 km ago. The engine is in good condition but sometimes "swayes" at idle when cold. The gearbox was overhauled according to the previous owner about 30,000 km ago and the clutch has been replaced. The rear brake calipers were overhauled in 2020, the front discs and pads should be replaced in the near future.
Service history
The service history is relatively well documented with stamps from both German and Swedish workshops:
- Service letterheads from the early years (Sportwagen Zentrum and Jarls bilservice in Malmö)
- Regular service at Mtech (2016, 2018, 2020, 2022, 2024)
- Last service: 2024 at Mtech
- Last inspection: 2024-09-12
- In 2025, the molding around the windshield was replaced and rust repaired, and the front brake calipers were restored at Porsche Center Haninge.
- Refurbished gearbox and clutch replacement around 2012 at 180,000 km
- Engine overhauled around 2013 at 190,000 km by Sune Jansson
- Several receipts and documentation of parts and renovations are included.
Parts of the documentation are available in the form of a service book, older protocols and some receipts for major work (including parts from Perrys Motor for SEK 22,000 in connection with gearbox renovation).
Summary
Here is a Porsche 911 SC in a motorsport-inspired design – an enthusiast car for those looking for the raw feel of a classic 911 with a certain racing patina. Imported from Germany in the mid-80s with documented ownership history since 1992 and subjected to a number of interesting upgrades, including RS-kitted bodywork and stripped-down interior. Mechanically, the car has received both engine and gearbox overhaul at the correct mileage, and regular service is documented.
This is not a museum piece but rather a fun-to-drive classic with attitude, ready for track meets, driver development or for the connoisseur who wants to put their own stamp and restore to original condition. The majority of the original parts are included, which opens up a variety of directions.

Hej,
