Basic information and history

The Porsche 930 Turbo stands as one of the most iconic interpretations of the 911 model, and the 1980 model represents the mature phase of the first turbo generation. Since 1978, the air-cooled 3.3-litre boxer six has sat in the rear, now with an intercooler and around 300 horsepower in European specification, combined with the four-speed manual gearbox that became a signature of the model right up to 1988. The wide rear end, the generously sized wheel arches and the characteristic rear wing make the 930 immediately recognisable, and the driving characteristics with pronounced turbo lag have given the car its reputation among enthusiasts.

This 930 Turbo was sold new in Switzerland and exported to the USA in 1999, where the current owner purchased it from Beverly Hills Car Club in 2014 and imported it to Denmark. When the car was purchased in the USA it was in flachbau (slantnose) configuration, and the current owner has restored it to original condition at a recognised Porsche workshop in Denmark.

The odometer reading is 64,902 miles, or 104,500 km, and the seller states that this can be guaranteed. The car has had three owners in total and is described as being in original condition. There is no deductible VAT on the vehicle and it is free of loans.

Equipment and options

  • Original electric sunroof
  • Original Pasha-pattern upholstery
  • Four-speed manual transmission

The Pascha-pattern upholstery, one of the most iconic fabric choices from Porsche in the late seventies and early eighties, is described by the seller as being in very good condition with attractive patina. The car is otherwise stated to be in original configuration without modifications. The gearbox has been freshly rebuilt.

Condition

Paintwork and body are both described as being in excellent condition according to the seller. The glass is stated to be in good condition.

The interior is assessed to be in good condition, as are the dashboard and headliner. The Pasha-pattern upholstery, according to the seller, has an attractive patina.

Tyres and wheels are stated to be in good condition.

The engine is described as being in good condition and, according to the seller, starts and runs without fault. The gearbox, which has been freshly rebuilt, shifts flawlessly and the clutch functions properly. The brakes are likewise stated to be in good condition. The vehicle can be driven as it stands, has passed inspection, and the dashboard is free of warning lights. All electronics, the trip meter, the seatbelts and the exterior lighting are functioning.

Service history

There are no receipts or other documentation to substantiate the service history. However, the seller states that the car has been serviced on an ongoing basis and that the gearbox has been freshly rebuilt. The vehicle has passed inspection, and the seller states summer 2026 in connection with the inspection details.

Summary

A 1980 Porsche 930 Turbo in original configuration with 103,000 km on the odometer and three owners behind it. The car has been imported from the USA and combines an exterior described as being in excellent condition with an interior in good condition, complete with an original electric sunroof and Pascha-pattern upholstery with attractive patina. Mechanically, the car is stated to be in good condition throughout, with a freshly rebuilt gearbox being a clear plus point. The service history lacks documentation, but the car is drivable as it stands and has passed inspection.

    Tak for konstruktiv input.
