The Saab 95 was the estate-bodied sister model to the Saab 96 and was produced from the end of the 1950s until 1978. The model is fundamentally built around the same self-supporting body and front-wheel-drive layout that made Saab famous in rallying and long-distance touring, but with an extended roof, a side-hinged rear tailgate, and the characteristic rear-facing third row of seats that made the car a seven-seat family car within a footprint barely larger than a standard sedan.
