The Alfa Romeo GT 1600 Junior is one of the most iconic Italian sports coupes from the 1970s, beloved for its classic Giugiaro design and raw, sporty handling. This GT 1600 Junior was originally sold new in the Netherlands , then purchased by a collector in Poland in March 2021 and subsequently acquired by the current owner – a passionate Alfa collector – in July 2023. The current mileage is 74,150 km according to the odometer.

The current owner is selling the car as space is needed in the garage for other projects. With previous experience of having renovated a similar Alfa in the 80s, there is both commitment and great knowledge about the model ( see the seller's story ).

This car offers a lovely pedigree and well-documented ownership, along with history and invoices from the Dutch period. An excellent opportunity for anyone looking to show off or drive a car that combines sport, history and Italian passion.

In addition to the original specification, the car has been fitted with upgraded Weber carburettors , a Nardi sports wooden steering wheel for increased feel and ATS alloy wheels for a sportier look and roadholding. The original steering wheel is not included, but the other controls are still there and in good condition. The brakes have been updated (new calipers and hoses 2021). The car has a replaced windscreen and front arch.

Condition

Body and exterior condition: Older repainting of the entire body has been carried out, which means that today there are differences in shade and cracks in the paint according to the pictures. The body has rust bubbles on the front edge and bottom of the driver's door, but no unusual rust damage for the model based on age and use. Chrome, moldings, headlight lenses and emblems are in generally good condition, however the front bumper is slightly worn and dented (new one included). The windshield is worn but a new windshield and rubber strips are included .

Interior: Original condition with normal wear, steering wheel replaced with a nice Nardi. Controls and buttons are in good original condition. The headliner is slightly sun-faded at the rear, but overall is solid and correct.

Tires and rims: ATS aluminum rims mounted, tires have good tread with about 5–6 mm remaining.

Mechanics and function: The engine is in very good condition according to the seller, the same applies to the brakes (new calipers and hoses 2021), while the gearbox and drivetrain are without complaint. No known technical faults.

Service history

Service has been continuously performed by owner since 2021. Last oil change and filter changes performed October 2024. Brake components (calipers and hoses) were replaced around 2021.

The car has passed inspection from August 2023 without any remarks. Original invoices and some history from the Dutch period are included.

In other words, the car is well maintained and has received ongoing care in recent years.
