Basic information and History
- Unique 1971 Fiat Lombardi 850 Grand Prix
- Only 45827 kilometers
- Same ownership family between the years 1973 to 2019
The car is extremely well documented with, among other things, a well-completed driving record and that previous owners are written down with their names. The car arrived in Sweden on 29/6 1971 and ended up at Motor John in Motala. The following summer, the car was sold to Mr. Rundgren in Bjärred, who owned it until September 1972, when it ended up at Helsingborgs Bilhall. When submitted, the car had traveled 680 km. Two weeks later, the car is bought by a Mr. Duzak, who has it for a short time before it ends up at Waldemar Bilar.
Later that year, the car is bought by Mr. Lundberg, who owns the car from 1973-05-21 until 1975-11-07 when his son buys the car. At the time of the change of ownership, the car had run approx. 1050 km. 1981-12-21 the car is parked until 1997-08-07. During this period, an engine change takes place. The previous owner does not know why this is done. The original engine remains and is of course included with purchase. Between the years 1998 to 2018, the car was also parked to save on expenses, as the then owner had several other cars to look after. During the parking period, the car loses its old license plate with registration number MB63779. In 2018, the car was put back in traffic and attended, among other things, the Lergökar rally, was at the Vallåkra and Sofiero meet. In the year 2018/2019, the current owner made a article about the car in Fiatelisten and was then offered to buy it, which he did in the spring of 2019. The renovation began soon after.
The car has today rolled a guaranteed 45,827 kilometers and the current owner has owned the car since 2019. With a total idle time of approx. 36 years old, the low mileage is not surprising.
The engine comes from a Fiat 850 Special, i.e. an 843cc stove mounted on the back of the car. Despite the car's 47 hp, the top speed is stated to be approx. 160km/h! With such a streamlined body and a weight of approx. 650kg, it is not surprising, however.
