Basic information and history
The 1962 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz is one of the most iconic American cabriolets ever – a symbol of 60s glamour and a legend for car enthusiasts. Only 1450 examples were produced this year, making the model extremely rare, especially in today's market. This example combines exclusivity with well-preserved original condition and offers you the chance to own a genuine piece of American automotive history .
The car was originally sold in the USA and later came to Sweden via Finland . It has had a total of three users (me, and two dealers previously).. Among the most interesting things is that this Cadillac is one of the few remaining, and here we also have a well-functioning original wheel with the correct hubcaps included in the deal. The fuel gauge does not work , but otherwise the car is reported to run as it should, and all the most important functions – including the fully automatic roof mechanism – work. Please note that the cab cover is missing.
Equipment and options
- Electric convertible roof (fully functional)
- Original wheels with hubcaps (included)
- Classic Cadillac details: extensive chrome, luxurious interior and steel wheels
- Original steering wheel, controls and buttons in very good condition
All vital original features are still in place and working, with the exception of the fuel gauge. No major modifications have been reported, so the overall impression is of a complete and pristine classic – perfect for those who want to enjoy the genuine Cadillac feel.
Condition
Body and exterior: The paint is in very good condition apart from a small spot on the right door and a crack in the paint on the tailgate. The windshield has a crack on the right side . The chrome, moldings, headlight lenses and emblems are relatively good overall, but the front bumper has some dullness. Overall, the car gives a contemporary and well-maintained impression.
Interior: The interior is in very nice original condition , steering wheel, controls and buttons look as they should. The steel frame in the ceiling is intact.
Tires and rims: The tires are in good condition .
Mechanics and function: The engine runs as it should, the gearbox and drivetrain function normally and shift as they should. The brakes are completely fine . The whole thing is functional, however the fuel gauge is out of order .
Service history
The last service was performed by Rolling Ranch approximately two years ago, and the car has only been driven approximately 700 km since then. Extensive service logs or protocols may be found in the car; the seller is happy to review these upon request.
The latest inspection with a passing result is dated 2020-08-07.
