In the 40s and 50s, the motorization of the world began in earnest. For a period, two-wheelers were the affordable transportation option for the people. This meant that both development and production of these skyrocketed. Many of our stakeholders grew up during that era and at countless car & motorcycle meetings I have talked to gentlemen older than me, usually born in the 40s and 50s, and heard "I had one like this when I was sixteen" or the dreamier version "I wanted one like this when I was sixteen, but couldn't afford at the time".

For those of you who recognize yourself in any of the quotes, we might just have the vehicle for you! Bidders Highway has received a real time capsule for the collection we are going to auction. A total of ten motorcycles refurbished to more or less new condition!

The oldest in the collection is a Horex Regina 350 from 1952. The Regina has been completely renovated with great focus on reflecting the original design. A fantastic object for those looking for a new 70-year-old for the summer. We also find four 125cc Yamahas from the colourful 70s in as exquisite condition as the Regina, despite approx. 20 fewer revolutions around the sun.

For those of you who had wet boyhood dreams about the Zundapp KS100, the collection contains no less than two KS100s. Choose between a red or blue, both in mint condition, just like when you stood drooling in front of the display window at Motorkraft in Hofors back in 69!

To make sure there is something for everyone, the collection also includes three Honda bikes. Two CB92s, one blue and one red, both of course in mint condition!

As the icing on the cake, the collection ends with a real unicorn: the Honda CB750 Sandcast from 1969. The motorcycle has frame number 180 and is thus one of the first 200 to be built. From the 201st motorcycle, a number of changes were made to the details, and this makes the first two hundred extra desirable. Since it is from early production, it is of course also a Sandcast. The first 7,000 built had the engine forged in sand moulds, compared to later ones where production had to be modernized to cope with demand. This copy is said to be the fourth oldest in Europe! A real unicorn!
