Bilsport Custom Motor Show 2025
For a majority of all vehicle enthusiasts in our elongated country, Easter weekend is entirely associated with one thing: the Bilsport Custom Motor Show at Elmiamässan in Jönköping. Join Bidders Highway as they exhibit at Northern Europe's largest car show, which this year attracted over 90,000 visitors over four days.
This year you found Bidders Highway located in the large A-hall with a larger and slightly more inviting stand than before and also three lovely cars to take a closer look at. Our stand was flanked by two of the four BMW cars that were sold in the current "The M collection", and on site was an M5 E34 and a manual 540i Touring in the odd color Daytona Violet. Both of these cars were live auctions during the fair and were also sold with "no reserve", that is, without a reservation price. Very exciting both for us organizers and the visitors who had the opportunity to explore the cars on site and place a bid. At the back of the stand we were backed up by our very own faithful servant, the irresistible and enormously popular Toyota Century which made curious and surprised visitors raise their eyebrows when they saw the V12-equipped Japanese luxury car.
Well-attended stand
In retrospect, we can say that we are extremely satisfied with this year's fair. Our stand in Hall A was very well-attended on all days of the fair and everything between heaven and earth was discussed when it comes to auctions, classic cars, visitors' own collections and everything in between.
We also had a visit from two of the highest bidders on both cars that were on the stand, which was incredibly fun.
First-class builds, extreme sound systems, stanced Germans and renovated mopeds
As usual, the Custom Motor Show delivers something for all tastes and even with a large international presence, we Swedes also show that first-class builds are built that fit any exhibition worldwide. Regardless of which category appeals to you, you are guaranteed to find something at the Elmiamässan, everything from mopeds to extreme builds.
Bidders Highway would like to extend a big thank you to all visitors, sellers, buyers, business friends and acquaintances that we had a chat with during the past weekend, and we hope to see us again next year, because you will definitely find us with a bunch of cool cars. You never know what will be in our booth - Those who live will see!
Below you will find a very small selection of all the vehicles that were on site, but we will let the pictures speak for themselves to show the enormous spread that was on site.
Dalarna's most well-known car building family, the Järudds, deliver exquisite builds on a production line. The latest in the line is a Mercedes 300 SL Speedster, a body swap built on the chassis of a 2005 SLK 55 AMG with a 5.4-liter V8 and automatic transmission. The car was one of the cars that caused the most jaws to drop among visitors to the Custom Motor Show this year.
The film franchise that inspired an entire automotive world lives on and thrives like never before. Cars like the Toyota Supra MK4 and the ever-classic Dodge Charger were accompanied by, for example, this Jetta and a Ford Escort that appeared in the films.
"It doesn't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning."
Hall D, as usual, housed this year's motorcycle and moped section as well as the majority of all American builds, everything from drag racing cars to air-lifted cruising monsters.
Long-distance visit from Slovakia. This Ford Cortina with its four-cylinder Pinto engine was a beauty.
A bunch of super sports cars as well as a hyper sports car in the form of the Mercedes AMG ONE were also on site. A real F1 engine is the basis for this hybrid with over 1000hp that does 0-200 km/h in 7 seconds.
In Hall X, the classic car exhibition instead transitioned into an art gallery with art objects of the very best kind - Cars. Here you could find the most cars with a focus on fitment and stance.
The JDM fans enjoyed themselves at the JapDay booth, and there we found this incredibly cool Celica that hides a turbocharged Volvo engine under the hood.
Pure racing history when all fans of the BTCC were able to dream back to the glory days of Rickard Rydell. This 850 makes the Volvo heart beat faster for many automotive enthusiasts.
The view from the roof of the bus owned by our neighbors and the Finnish team behind the "Creme de la creme" in Hall A gave a nice overview of the fair.
You haven't missed that Bidders Highway will be joing this summers Street Week? The event where drag racing fans will have their needs satisfied during a whole week filled with action-packed drag racing.
The classic P1800 equipped with a BMW V8 took home the awards in the "Jury's choice" category.
We had some BMWs that fall under the "modern classics" category, while in Hall B you found a bunch of real classics.
When you thought you'd seen it all. A Ford Falcon with an XL roof tent would have been something to roll into for this summer's camping trip.
In the booth next door, the car care company Arcticlean exhibited a Volvo 240 that was raffled off, as well as this incredibly delicious Porsche 964, a favorite of many, both young and old.
