Basic information and history

One of perhaps the world's most famous car models, the Beetle, or Bubbla as we call it here at home, is now up for bidding. The model's history begins as early as 1934 and does not end until 2003, with a total of 21,429,490 cars produced worldwide.

This Swedish-sold Volkswagen 1300 from 1967 was sold new in Askersund. The person owned the car until 2002 when it changed hands for the first time. Owner number two had the car until 2010 when the current owner bought the car. The current owner's father sold the Volkswagen and nostalgia made the purchase go through. This unrestored but well-preserved example can be used with advantage directly at upcoming car meetings. The meter reading today stands at 40688km. Whether the meter has rolled around should be left unsaid, but the condition and its patina indicate that the car's mileage may be correct. The bubble comes with a 1300 of approx. 40hp and 4-speed gearbox.

Condition

The exterior of the car is well preserved. The paint looks nice but there is patina and minor wear, including some dullness, marks, several repairs and small scratches. Generally in pleasant condition and with a little simpler means can be really nice for the arrival of the spring sun! Lists look a little dry, which is not unexpected. Chrome has fared relatively well over the years.

The interior is in generally good condition and has held up well over the years. Material on the seats looks nice and has escaped damage, other than wear around controls to fold the seat. There is of course some dirt. Instrument panel and adjustment are in good condition. Interior roof looks nice and sits where it should. Less dirt is found on material around the pillars.

In the engine compartment it looks neat and tidy. Underneath, the car also looks nice there. Worse rust is not visible, probably because the undercarriage has been protected from rust.

Summary

A well-preserved copy that has held up well over the years! Patina is present, but nothing that requires advanced renovations. A ready-to-drive and fully enjoyable VW 1300 for those who want to ride an absolute classic for the summer!

Hej!

Krockad bil?

Right hand door does look a bit suspect, hope this reflects on reserve price ?
