Basic information and history

Since the beginning of the term, Hot Rods have come in all possible forms and variations. Most common are 20s to 30s cars rebuilt in the American garages. This amateur-built Hot Rod started as a Swedish-sold Ford from 1934 and runs today as a Ford Pickup Ghost Car. Construction was completed in 2021. The reason behind the "Ghost Car" name is that Ford did not build any pickups in 1934. This is a model that never existed, hence the name Ghost Car. The current owner purchased the car directly from the builder and it comes with a large number of new and refurbished parts. Currently there is a Chevrolet 350 fitted, plenty of power for such a light car. Meter readout currently stands at 1000km and should be able to be guaranteed.

Condition

The condition is described by the current owner as good. The car is built in fiberglass, sheet metal and wood, and the body is newly built. The car is of course stainless. It is reported that there is minor damage to the paintwork, including runs, drops and marks. Chrome, moldings and emblems come without remark. Glass parts are also in good condition. The interior of the car is in a good condition and updated with, among other things, more modern seats and a reversing camera with a screen. Chair upholstery is in good condition with only small stains. The door sides are unremarkable. The panel looks nice and so do the buttons and controls. The red inner ceiling is also in good condition. New instrument set is installed in connection with the construction. Also new chrome pedal rack.Mechanically, the car is in good condition. The frame is professionally built and imported from the USA. The 350 engine is completely renovated with a new aluminium radiator, chrome headers and valve covers, generator, air cleaner and more. The gearbox has been serviced and is reported to work well. New coilover dampers have been installed in connection with the construction. Rear axle is from Jaguar and has been driven approx. 3000 km and the front suspension is new. To stop the car, there are brake discs all around. Brakes are described as being in mint condition. The rims have some brake dust but the spinners look nice. No leaks have been noted from the engine or gearbox. The last service was performed in July 2023 by the current owner. Previous protocols are available. The car was subject to a registration inspection on 07/05/2021. The car no longer needs MOT even thou it is registered as a 2021.
