Basic information and history

The second-generation Ford F-150 SVT Lightning was produced between 1999 and 2004 and is regarded as one of the clearest examples of how an American pickup can be transformed into a full-fledged performance vehicle. Under the hood sits Ford's 5.4-litre Triton V8, fed by an Eaton supercharger with air cooling via an intercooler, which from model year 2001 onward raised output to around 380 horsepower and 610 Nm of torque. Power is sent rearward through the reinforced four-speed automatic 4R100, and the chassis differs markedly from a standard F-150 with lowered ride height, specially developed anti-roll bars, Bilstein dampers and wide 18-inch wheels.

The model was built in limited numbers by Ford's SVT division (Special Vehicles Technology) and is today a sought-after collector's item among enthusiasts, not least because it combines everyday usability with performance that, at the time, could challenge considerably more exclusive sports cars.

This example is a 2002 model year and was imported from the USA in 2005. The odometer reads 160,000 km and the seller states that this can be warranted. The vehicle has had three owners in total, the current one having owned the car since 2007. The car is said to be in original condition.

Condition

Body and paint: The paint shows polishing and washing marks as well as some scratches and stone chips. Clearcoat peeling is present on the right rear fender and on the wing mirror, and there is some gravel-blasting on the lower fender edges. Paint cracks are found in the roof gutters. On the body, a scratch is noted on the right rear fender and on the lower right part of the bumper cover. The tonneau cover is worn and torn at the corners. The windscreen has stone chips resulting in a crack.

Interior: The armrest shows damage where a small piece is missing from the cushion on top, and there are also some burn marks. Burn marks are also present in the ashtray. Surface rust is noted on some of the seat mounts. The instrument panel and headliner are both described as being in good condition, and the instrumentation is free of warning lights. The trip meter, seatbelts, audio and media system and other electronics are stated to be functioning.

Tyres and wheels: Original 18-inch SVT wheels in generally good condition with a few marginal scuff marks, and Hankook Ventus ST tyres in good condition.

Mechanics and function: The engine is described as being in excellent condition and is stated to start and run faultlessly. The transmission is likewise assessed as excellent and, according to the seller, shifts without issue. The brakes are also described as being in excellent condition. The vehicle is drivable as is and has passed inspection.

Service history

The seller states that the vehicle has been fully serviced and maintained according to specifications. However, receipts or other documentation confirming the service history are not included. The most recent inspection was carried out on 28 August 2025, at which the vehicle passed without remarks.
