Basic information and history

US-imported Ford Mustang Fastback SportsRoof from 1970 which arrived in Sweden as moving goods in 2014. Since then the car has only had 2 users. Renovation started by the first owner and finished by the current owner. The car has had a refurbished engine, reupholstered seats, new interior roof, imitation leather panels and the luggage compartment has been fitted out. Various modifications have also been added, including blinkers in the new hood scoop, new rims from Coys, model C67, blinds, front spoiler and more.

Equipped with a nice sounding 5-liter V8 of approx. 223hp/407nm mated to a 5-speed manual Tremec box with 3.90 in ratio and rear wheel drive. The engine has been given a somewhat better camshaft and the power is probably a little higher than original.

Condition

The body is described as being in mint condition. There are no dents, worse scratches or rust. As previously mentioned in the advertisement, various modifications have been carried out. Cockpits are replaced during the renovation. Window glass in good condition but with minor stone chips on the windshield. Bumpers and window frames have been re-chromed and are in very good condition. Also new rear lights and more that were changed during renovation. The rims are in good condition and the tires measuring 265x35 front and 315x40 rear have approx. 4-6mm pattern depth remaining.

The interior has been redressed during renovation. Seat surfaces with black imitation leather in good condition without any damage or wear. Door panels in good condition. Steering wheel, buttons and controls with normal wear from the years. Three additional gauges, oil pressure, temp and tachometer have been installed on the dashboard. The inner ceiling is new and nice.

Engine was rebuilt four years ago with slightly sharper cam and five-speed Tremec box connected to 9-inch rear axle with diff. Work has been carried out by Engson Motor. Driveline and gearbox in good condition without any noise. Brakes were changed and refurbished in 2017.

Service history

Oil and filter changes have been performed at frequent intervals. There are receipts for most parts that are purchased. Last inspection was carried out on 2020-09-04.
