Basic information and HistoryThe Ford Mustang is undoubtedly a well-known name to most people, the world's first "pony car" and has sold over 10 million copies worldwide. The first generation was available in a variety of designs, coupé, fastback and cabriolet, among others. and could be supplied with a plethora of different engines. This generation is also one of the most sought after on the market thanks to its timeless design but also fine road characteristics.This specimen is a 1965 model with the standard V8 of 289ci (4.7l) and came to Sweden in 2020 from California. The car has therefore never been in need of any rust repair, but on the other hand received a major renovation including full paint on arrival in Sweden. The seller is the second owner in Sweden and has driven it very sparingly over the years and it has always been in a warm garage when not in use.ConditionExterior: The seller says that the car is in fantastically good condition on the outside apart from a couple of very small marks that are documented in the album. The car was painted in 2020 in Ford's original color "Twilight Turqoise" and all chrome details have either been replaced or rechromed and have a fantastic shine. The roof has been replaced and has always been stored with the roof up and is and in amazingly fine condition free of damage, cracks or marks. The bright interior contrasts really well with the paint and the combination is just the icing on the cake. The instrument panel has also been replaced and is free of specks or signs of sun fading. Original AM radio is present but with unclear function. The controls are apparently original controls in fine condition with a little patina. All gauges and other functions in the interior are in a good and working condition and the mileage currently stands. at about 51,000 miles but cannot be guaranteed. As can be seen, the engine has been thoroughly overhauled and had many parts replaced over the years. There is an aftermarket carburettor and plenum from Holly on the car today, which gives a couple of extra hp. There is also a new fuel tank and 2-circuit brake system on the car and it also got new tires recently. The heating package was changed in January 2023.
