Basic information and history

Northea Camper Expedition serial NO. 001 is an upgraded and top-equipped VW Amarok 4Motion with the camper module CMP190 from the well-known Crawler which is specially manufactured for the Nordic conditions and is therefore the first and only of its kind in Sweden and the Nordic countries. The vision of the build is Sweden's Toughest Offgrid Camper which is a robust, powerful and stylish overland pickup that is both lovely to look at and pure pleasure to drive. The base of the build is a top example of the Volkswagen Amarok Doublecab 3.0 V6 TDi BMT 4Motion from 2020 which has been thoroughly examined by an authorized workshop to ensure that everything from the start of the build was as good as possible. All fluids were changed and service was performed. The camper module is a CMP190 from Crawler Caravans GmbH which is completely built in aluminum sheet and ceramic insulated walls with thicker aluminum construction for 2+ people! Overland-interested administrators have had the honor of tinkering around and functionally testing the equipment on two occasions. Northea is a Swedish player in offroad and overland camping and expeditions in the Nordic region. The company's business concept is to build, modify and sell unique, robust and beautiful camping vehicles that get by regardless of weather and wind with the motto " Built for the Wild and Designed for Freedom ". The vehicle is a VAT car , which provides great opportunities for those who want a unique and cool vehicle for the company for PR events or other exciting events! For increased security, a guarantee is provided on the living area and various functions. Financing can possibly be done via the seller's partner, but should be checked before placing a winning bid.

The equipment is inspected and fully approved with a body and has been upgraded according to all the rules of the art. The vehicle has been approved and increased to a total weight of 3500kg. The operating weight is 2860kg. The engine has been optimized by BSR for higher torque and means that the body and added weight are not noticeable in everyday traffic. The camper rolls on massive 20-inch wheels from DIRT, equipped with proper All-terrain tires from Blackbear to get everywhere. Of course, the spare wheel is also included! Skid plates are mounted to protect sensitive parts underneath. Otherwise, there is a Bravo snorkel for water passages, 45-liter fresh water tank, Solara solar panels 160W with regulator, 270-degree awning, Thetford portable toilet, Dometic 65L refrigerator, canister mounts, outdoor shower, outdoor kitchen, Eberspacher D2 diesel heater, Victron Energy 220 Ah battery, gun and fishing mounts, roof racks and lots of LED lights as well as various other accessories needed when you want to leave civilization behind but still be comfortable!

This is the optimal overland build for those who want to have the opportunity to disappear into nature for a longer period of time, use it as a starting point for hunting, travel around Europe with it or just tear yourself away from everyday life and live life on your own terms! The only one who sets the limits is you!

Equipment and options

The Amarok is as always well equipped with today's necessities such as infotainment, ACC, various driving modes for different terrain and surfaces, automatic transmission, extra button panel for various light and vehicle functions. The entire vehicle is of course approved in its current design and all parts are certified and approved for the purpose of the construction.

Chassis upgrade consists of, among other things, a complete Pedders lift kit, raised 40mm with TrakRyder Foam Cell dampers all around, front coil springs, stronger rear leaf springs (+600kg) and reinforced bushings and U-bolts. There is also air suspension at the rear from SKHandels including weight increase certificate with > 1000kg pressure per bellow with electric control/adjustment if necessary. The Amarok rolls on 20" DIRT AT D88 Flatblack milled rivets, 9-inch wide, shod in 285/50R20 114/110H Blackbear AT2 LT 3PMSF.

Skid plates are mounted to protect the engine, gearbox, differential and fuel tank. Side pipes with step surfaces are also mounted. Otherwise on the body we find Bravo snorkel, fender wideners, hood scoop, wind deflectors on windows and hood. Roof racks are installed and include Thule brackets and 6 LED lights that are controlled by remote control. Perfect for working at night! Otherwise for extra light there is a Sibera 22" LED bar and 4x BIG ENERGY 7" extra lights. Otherwise we find extra reflectors, position and brake lights installed. Extended towbar approved by both the EU and Volkswagen. As previously mentioned, the car is approved for a total weight of up to 3500kg. The camper part from Crawler, which is a leading player in Europe in offroad camping, is Equipped for off-grid living with various equipment to make it easier to stay in nature. Entrance is via a fold-down ladder at the back. Side wall can be folded out to create extra space in the living area. Roof tent with windows folds up to provide proper standing height. Various illuminated cabinets and space are available in the living area for smart storage. There is a folding and adjustable table, perfect for meals or when working. Storage space under the seating areas is also available. The area is well suited for 2+ people. The main bed measures an impressive 195x190 cm when folded, of which the secondary bed at the top measures 165x60 cm, and is ideal for a smaller person. Otherwise there is:

Body & Exterior Condition:

The body is in very good condition without any damage or other blemishes. There are small marks from normal use and 10,000 miles on the body, but nothing that catches your eye or otherwise causes any reaction. The condition of the outside of the cabinet is also fine, and of course completely ready to use.

Interior:

The interior of the car's cabin is in good condition without major wear or complaints. The owner chose to look for a long time for a very well-maintained example of an Amarok to base the build on, which is noticeable in the condition. A panel with buttons is installed and controls various lighting and vehicle functions. Another panel is mounted under the center screen to check and control the pressure in the rear air bellows. Otherwise, the interior is original. The interior of the camper part is unused and the mattresses still have plastic protection. Otherwise, the interior is in good condition and the lighting functions and other things obviously work as intended.

Tires & Rims:

Tires and rims are in more or less new condition as they have only been driven a few miles.

Mechanics & Function:

All mechanical functions work as they should, without any complaints. Before the car is delivered to the customer, the following work will be carried out:

• Commissioning and additional testing of all functions

Extra insulation for the pop-up section will be delivered to the buyer afterwards. The seller is available to assist with installation of insulation for the camper section, if desired.

Service history

The last service was carried out in July 2025, where all oils were changed and a comprehensive technical review and inspection of the car was carried out. The work was carried out by Meca Bilverkstad in Hammarö. There are various service records, both physical and digital, on the car.
