This model, introduced in the early 2000s, offers a fine balance between sportiness and charm – and in recent years has become a sought-after item among collectors and enthusiasts looking for something unique. The example now being auctioned at Bidders Highway is an import from England , which makes it extra interesting for those who want a true Brit in their garage or long for an unusual summer car at a reasonable price.
The vehicle has covered 125,000 km , with guaranteed mileage. In total, the car has had seven owners since new, and the seller's history testifies to care and passion. It has been used as a summer car, where the focus has been on preserving originality - all parts are what the seller knows to be original. Original registration plates from England are included, which gives it additional character.
Here is the chance to acquire a characterful two-seater roadster with a rich history and opportunities for further refinement, or to enjoy it – just as it is!
Equipment and options
- Original design – no retrofitted options
- Electric windows (electric windows)
- Convertible with soft top in good condition, slightly sun-bleached
- Rear-wheel drive, mid-engine
All known accessories are original. The car has remained in its standard configuration to the best of the owner's knowledge. Some modifications have been made as part of maintenance and repair, for example , the front steering joints have been welded and treated with hammer varnish . The rear brake pads and discs are brand new from 2023.
Condition
Body and exterior: The car is in used condition with scratches, minor dents and some areas where touch-up paint has been used (hood and sides), some color deviations occur. Small marks are found at the driver's door and steps on both sides. A very small amount of rust is found at the hinge on the driver's side and under the car, without safety impact according to the seller. Windshield and side windows are in good condition with minor marks, not disturbing. Front headlight lenses are slightly blurred, taillights are fine. Emblem shows normal wear. Rims have scratches and minor play in the aluminum.
Interior: The interior of the car is in used condition with potential for improvement. The seats have damage and the door panels and sills show scratches and marks. The soft top is in very good condition but slightly sun-bleached, however the soft top cover is missing. The steering wheel, controls and buttons work but have wear - e.g. the handbrake gaiter, the fan and cooling/heating buttons are worn but usable.
Tires and rims: Front tires have good tread depth, rear tires also have good tread depth but show dry cracks. Rims have scratches and some play in the aluminum.
Mechanics and function: The engine runs well. Brakes are newly serviced (new pads and discs in the rear in 2023). The gearbox works excellently in forward gear at least, but it can be a bit difficult to get into reverse sometimes – probably due to sync rings. The electric windows are a bit sluggish but functional.
Service history
The service book is filled out according to the manufacturer's intervals and history and protocols from England are included. The last service was carried out in 2023 and included, among other things, oil, spark plugs, filter and intake gasket (replaced by the company in 2024). The car was inspected with a passing result as late as August 2024. Protocols, history and original documents from England are available.
