Basic Information & History

The Volvo C70 2.5T – 1999 marks one of Volvo’s most elegant and classic grand tourers in modern times, designed by Volvo’s in-house design team under Peter Horbury (with TWR collaboration). It carries a distinct presence that has captured enthusiasts’ hearts for more than two decades.

In 1999, not all C70s came with the 2.5T engine producing 193 hp – and those sold in Italy were usually 2.0-liter models. This example is an exception: sold new in Italy but with a German market code, equipped with the desirable 2.5-liter engine.

The car was imported to Sweden in 2005 and has had few owners: one (1) in Italy, one (1) in Sweden from November 2005 to 2024, and the current owner since 2024. It is a rare and well-documented example, finished in light silver metallic over dark leather interior with wood panels and wood steering wheel – a classic and tasteful specification.

Current mileage: 266,426 km. The car has been used year-round, but never abused; lightly driven during winter, which is reflected in its overall condition.

Condition

Body & Exterior

Very good paint, with only a minor clear coat peel on the roof just by the rear window. Partial repaint professionally done to preserve finish. Windshield shows normal age-related wear but no cracks or major chips. Chrome, trim, emblems, and lights are in normal to better-than-normal condition.

Wheels & Tires

Fitted with 17” alloy wheels, showing some minor curb marks/wear over the years. Summer tires in very good condition.

Interior

Overall very good condition considering age and mileage. Rear and passenger seats near new; only minor wear on driver’s seat (better than typical for this age/mileage). Headliner in excellent condition, as are steering wheel, controls, and switches. Some wear on gear knob noted.

Electronics

Fully functional with the exception of one lamp in the stereo that has gone out. All other systems work as intended.

Mechanics & Function

Engine in very good condition, recently serviced (timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, oil and filter change, alternator freewheel replaced). Brakes new in the rear (discs and pads), front in good condition. Gearbox and drivetrain free of issues.

Note: The car is currently off the road (since September 1, 2025) – but can be re-registered for road use immediately upon sale. Last inspected and approved in July 2025.

Service History

Full service book according to Volvo’s intervals, with extensive supporting documentation and receipts over the years. Regularly serviced, with the latest major service in December 2024 (timing belt, water pump, serpentine belt, oil and filter change, alternator freewheel). Most recently inspected in July 2025, passed without remarks. Service records and documents included.
