With the fifth generation Celica, internally designated T180, Toyota took a decisive step away from the angular design language of the eighties. The softly rounded body with its pop-up headlights and the characteristic "Super Round" design attracted attention already at its debut, and this generation came to firmly cement the Celica as an enthusiast's name.
