Basic information and history
The Porsche 944 is today considered one of the most iconic sports cars from the 80s – a perfect balance between technology, driving pleasure and period design. The model has gained cult status for its lightweight feel and its well-balanced chassis structure, which has made it loved both on the road and on the track. This example, sold in Sweden and in original condition, is an excellent opportunity for those looking for a classic with a solid ownership history and care.
The car has covered 160,300 km , which can be guaranteed, and has had 17 previous users. The current owner bought the car back in 2003 as a 78-year-old pensioner – with a long background as a rally mechanic, he has meticulously maintained the car with greater knowledge than most.
The car is Swedish-sold and has been preserved in its original design, residing in a heated garage since 2003. Throughout its ownership, service and maintenance have been at the highest level, which can also be seen in the vehicle's overall very good condition. As a curious detail, the current owner has cared for and used the car with low intensity for over two decades – a unique and secure ownership history for those looking for a classic to enjoy for many more years.
Equipment and options

Condition
Body & paint: Very good condition! The car appears to have original paint except for the right rear, where a minor professional repaint was performed after parking damage 10-15 years ago. There is a very small dent on the left front (about the size of a one-krona coin), but no paint damage. Windows, headlight lenses, moldings, emblems and chrome are mostly free of damage. The car is in overall good driving condition with normal wear consistent with its age and mileage. Minor stone chips and paint blemishes are present around the body. There is a small damage to the door trim and some scratches (see photos). A minor dent can also be seen on the driver’s door (see photo). Please refer to all images for a clear overview of the car’s condition.Interior: The interior is rated well above average for the year and model. The steering wheel, controls and buttons are in exceptionally good condition. The headliner is flawless with no damage or anything hanging down.
Tires & Rims: Tires in good condition with tread depth remaining, but are older and may need overhaul for maximum performance. S2 rims are mounted and are very nice.
Mechanics & function: Engine runs as it should, without any noise – it is noticeable that a rally mechanic has been responsible for ongoing maintenance. Brakes work without any problems and do not drag, even after prolonged standstill. Gearbox and driveline feel distinct and shift smoothly and precisely.
Service history
Throughout its time with the current (and most recent) owner since 2003, the car has received perfect and ongoing service and maintenance – the owner is a trained rally mechanic. Service intervals have been followed carefully and all points have been handled in an exemplary manner, which is noticeable in the mechanical overall appearance.
Last approved inspection was carried out on 2025-05-02 at 160,050 km. Documentation in the form of service history and receipts is preserved for the period with the current owner.
