Complete repaint in original color, including engine compartment and trunk. All exterior moldings have been replaced. Full review of the driveline with new bushings and linkage. The entire brake system has been replaced. The engine is in original condition but has received a full service with timing belt, water pump, all belts and oils. New clutch has been installed. Condition
Body and exterior : The car has recently been repainted in the original color and the work was carried out by a paint shop, according to the seller. The body has been preceded by an extensive rust removal where all rust, including in sills, fender edges and doors, has been addressed. Chrome details, moldings, headlight lenses and emblems are said to be in top condition. Glass is original with the exception of the windshield which has been replaced due to stone chips.
Interior : Very good condition with normal and light age-related wear. Steering wheel, controls and buttons are reported to be in very good condition. The headliner has a small gap at the rear towards the trunk lid.
Tires and rims : Tires are Tomket Eco 185/60 R14 in new condition according to the seller. Rims are classic "snowflake" in excellent condition.
Mechanics and function : The engine is original but has recently received an extensive service with timing belt, water pump, belts, oils and a new clutch. The gearbox is original. All bushings and linkage in the driveline have been replaced. All brakes around have been replaced. Known anomaly: the coolant level light stays on until the engine is warm, said to be a known VW phenomenon on these cars.
