Basic information and history

The Mercedes-Benz W115, often called the “/8”, was the last of the classically upright mid-range models from Stuttgart and gained access to the 3.0-litre five-cylinder OM617 diesel engine in 1974. In the Swedish market, among other places, this powertrain was marketed as the 240 D 3.0 , although in other countries it was called the 300 D. The combination of robust construction, high driving comfort and the long-lasting OM617 engine makes the 1975 cars particularly sought after by connoisseurs.

This example is stated by the seller to have an odometer reading of 147,030 km and the odometer reading can be guaranteed. According to the seller, there is documentation from the National Archives from 1975 onwards that shows a continuous Swedish ownership history with the same owner family from 1975 to 2013, consistent deregistering at the beginning of October and reregistering in April each year. The car is in a completely unrestored original condition and have never been driven in the winter and has always been garaged. The windscreen has previously been replaced with tinted glass.

Note: The trip meter is stationary, which does not affect the main odometer's reading according to the seller.

Service history

The car has been serviced regularly when parked every year. The last service was carried out in March 2025 and included an oil change with filter, a check of the injectors and a recently changed diesel filter. There is history and documentation from the National Archives from 1975 onwards regarding previous owners, and the car has been in the same family's possession from 1975 to 2013. These documents also show regular seasonal use with deregistering in October and reregistering in April each year, which supports the information that the car has never been driven in the winter and has been stored in a garage.
