Basic information and history;
Very fine, unmolested Swedish Volvo 144 DL B20A with BW35 automatic gearbox. With 7 previous owners and only 146871 km on the odometer. This Volvo 144 DL spent 46 years in the same family. It was sold new to building contractor Hilding Eriksson in Pajala in the far north of Sweden, later registered in his wife Anna’s name in 1993 and transferred to their daughter in 2002. The car remained in the family until 2017, after which it went to two further owners in Pajala. Since 2024 the car has come home to Hisingen and Torslanda and is now owned by a retired Volvo engineer who worked 42 years in Volvo’s development department.
With its originality and low mileage, this Volvo 144 is a fantastic opportunity for both collectors and enthusiasts. The car is currently inspected by and insured with MHRF. Condition
Body is assessed to be in very good condition, without visible dents or scratches. According to the seller the car is rust-free and has never been welded. The paint is still presentable; although partially resprayed with a minor visible color difference on the right-rear door, it gives an excellent overall impression. The glass is in good condition and the chrome details, trims and lamp lenses are in very fine condition. The rims are free from damage and the tires are in very good condition.
Interior is in very fine condition and can be regarded as close to like-new. There is no damage to the seats and the dashboard is intact and clean. The headlining is also in very good condition. A small crack is present in the steering wheel, otherwise it is in fine condition.
Engine runs excellently with no unwanted noises. The automatic gearbox is in equally good condition and shifts flawlessly without any issues. The brakes are effective and work without problems, with no remarks.

Serviced privately with oil, spark plugs and filters. The service book is not filled in. Inspected without remarks on 10 June 2020.
