Basic information and history
The Datsun 240Z, internally designated S30, changed the perception of Japanese sports cars when it was launched around the turn of the decade in 1970. With a long bonnet, short rear overhang, independent suspension all round and a refined 2.4-litre inline-six, it offered performance and driving enjoyment in a class previously dominated by considerably more expensive European alternatives. The design language, created under the direction of Yoshihiko Matsuo, has aged with dignity, meaning that a 240Z of the 1971 model year still ranks among the most sought-after classic Japanese cars today.
This 240Z is far from a standard car. It is known by the nickname "Datass" and is a complete custom build where the classic Datsun silhouette has been combined with modern engine technology. The car has been fully restored and rebuilt from the ground up, and the seller states that it is free from rust. The build is approved in the Swedish vehicle register as a modified vehicle under SFRO, with registered codes T12B, T31A, T31B and T31EB.

The vehicle has been imported from Denmark and has had two owners in total. The odometer reading is 3,500 km and can be guaranteed according to the seller, which reflects the limited driving done after the build's completion. The trip meter is functional. Since the car has passed 30 years of age, it is covered by the exemption from one-time tax, and it is now exempt from periodic inspection. There are no loans on the vehicle and VAT is not deductible.
