Basic information and history

The 1968 Jensen Interceptor is a British GT with Italian styling and American powertrain. The bodywork was designed by Carrozzeria Touring and the early cars were built by Vignale before production moved to West Bromwich. The model is known for its sweeping glass roof over the rear and the combination of British craftsmanship and robust Chrysler V8 performance with TorqueFlite automatic.

This example is imported from England. The car cannot be driven at the moment as the renovation is ongoing. The project was initiated in 2020 with the stated ambition of achieving a very high finish without compromise. Interior

The interior is complete but in need of renovation. The headliner, steering wheel, controls and buttons need to be repaired before assembly and use.

Tires and rims

Rims are newly renovated with new tires mounted.

Mechanics and function

The engine has been started and serviced in 2020 but has not been refurbished. The gearbox is said to be working but has not been refurbished. The front and rear suspension have new bushings. The brakes work according to the seller, but there is no documentation of refurbishment. Some functions and systems need to be reviewed for traffic. The air conditioning system is not installed.
