Basic information and history
The 1966 Ford Mustang marks the refined first-generation design with an updated grille, subtly revised side trim and a more streamlined interior. This example was imported from the USA and completely renovated in Sweden in 2003–2005. Modifications and improvements
Body and chassis : Subframe connectors that connect the front and rear frame rails for increased torsional rigidity. Classic Shelby lowering in the front, lower leaf springs in the rear and stronger mountings. Adjustable panhard bar for improved lateral stability. CalTracks to stabilize the rear under heavier throttle. US Mags U102 17x7" rims. 289 emblems on the front fenders removed and front and rear bumper horns and chrome strips on the kickstands removed for a cleaner look.

Brakes : Wilwood front disc brakes with four-piston calipers and 287 mm discs, dual circuit conversion and Wilwood master cylinder. Original rear drum brakes in good condition.
Condition
Body and exterior : According to the seller, the paint is in very good condition with minimal stone chips. During the restoration in 2003–2005, the body was blasted to a clean sheet metal condition and painted in the original color Ivy Green Metallic. Known remarks include a small dent on the upper part of the B-pillar towards the roof on the passenger side. Partially repainted. Rear fenders, doors and front fenders have recently been repainted to address minor cosmetic defects. The overall impression is stated to be well-balanced.
Sheet metal and bodywork : Rear fender on the driver's side has been replaced with a reproduction fender. Lower parts of fenders and doors have been renovated with new sheet metal. Rear lower part of the trunk lid has been given new sheet metal. Floors on both sides have been replaced with handmade sheet metal with slightly greater material thickness than reproduced sheet metal. Replaced sheet metal at air intake on both sides.
Chrome, moldings and glass : New reproduction bumpers in good quality. The moldings around the windshield and rear window are original and have been straightened and polished, there are a few small dents. The chrome around the side windows is original with some wear over time but a shiny surface. New H4 headlights, other headlight lenses in very good condition. The windshield was replaced during the renovation, light wear from the wipers, other windows are original and in good condition.
Interior : The interior is reported to be in very good condition with minimal wear. New upholstery, door panels and carpet. Black headliner in very good condition. Steering wheel, controls and buttons are reported to be in very good condition. Door sills show minor signs of use.
Tires and rims : US Mags U102 17x7". Rear tire Nitto NT05 R‑tire 225/45 R17. Front tire Nangkang Sport NS‑20 stated dimension 125/45 ZR17. Tread depth front approx. 7mm, rear approx. 4mm.
Mechanics and function : The engine is reported to be in very good condition and has covered approximately 8000 km since assembly in 2018. Fuel injection from Fitech and Paxton compressor provide smooth running and good response. The brakes are servo-less with Wilwood front and dual-circuit conversion, which provides a distinct pedal. The gearbox and driveline are reported to be in very good condition with T5-Z, short linkage and hydraulic release bearing. Differential with LSD and 3.55 ratio.
Service history
Last serviced in April 2026 according to the seller. There is an extensive set of receipts that prove both the renovation and later upgrades, including the engine rebuild in 2018. Body renovation was carried out in Sweden in 2003–2005 with documented repainting and sheet metal work.
