Basic information and history

Unique opportunity for collectors and enthusiasts: Here is an uncompromising creation offered – a 1939 Ford Fordor "Forvette", where timeless classic design meets modern Corvette C5-technology under the metal. This extreme build is the result of a passionate car builder's effort, where a completely new frame and chassis from a Corvette C5 has been combined with the iconic 30s body from Ford. The result is a unique vehicle completely unparalleled on Swedish roads.

The car has had only one user (the car builder himself), who has never used the vehicle – the odometer reads 0 km and that can be guaranteed! This is truly a unique opportunity to acquire a brand new build, completed with exceptional care and a total construction cost of approximately SEK 700,000 according to information.

The vehicle's history is well documented, however, certain receipts are missing, including those related to the engine and gearbox, as these have been lost in connection with the estate from which the vehicle was acquired. Test reports from construction inspection, final inspection and other documents regarding registration inspection and details about the car's unique structure are available. The car has recently been registered as an amateur-built vehicle with a passing result, meaning you only need to start using the car for three years before the first inspection.

Equipment and options

  • Registered for four people
  • Power adjustable seats
  • 3-points belts up front and 2-point in the rear
  • Remote lock and remote door opening
  • Electric lifts
  • Power steering
  • Electric seats
  • Servo brakes
  • Towing hook (1500kg capacity)
  • Rear view camera
  • Brake discs all around
  • Fan and heating system
  • ODB2-port

Modifications: The car is a complete build where the body panels have been widened to harmonize with Corvette technology. The entire frame is custom-built and adapted to the Corvette C5's front and rear suspension, engine and gearbox. The engine (Corvette C5, 350 hp) was disassembled and inspected to ensure optimal condition, and the entire interior was updated with Corvette C5 seats and new upholstery by a furniture specialist.

Condition

Body & paint: The body has been renovated from scratch and freshly painted, with only a very small crack in the paint on the tailgate (see photo). The fenders have been professionally widened. All windows, moldings, headlight lenses, chrome and emblems are in excellent condition – without complaint.

Interior: Exceptionally executed new interior, sewn by a professional/furniture manufacturer. Chairs are taken from Corvette C5 and color-matched with the rest of the interior. Steering wheel, controls, buttons and instruments are brand new.

Tires & rims: Installed tires are in new condition, not used.

Mechanics & function: Engine has been stripped down and overhauled – promised to be in very good condition – and set up for optimal function. Brake system, suspension adjustable in height and hardness and gearbox (automatic) are new and work perfectly, just like the driveline and other mechanics. Only test driven in connection with the build, then a four-wheel alignment was recently carried out.

Service history

As a nearly new car, this example has only been test driven, with service and adjustment and tuning carried out in connection with completion.

All major components – engine, brakes, suspension, electrical, interior and instruments – are new or have been checked during construction. The speedometer does not work. (no impact on the registration inspection).

Summary

1939 Ford Fordor "Forvette" is a unique piece of craftsmanship for the enthusiast who wants to stand out on the street, track or meet. With classic 30s styling, modern Corvette C5 drivetrain and chassis technology, and a virtually unused car with a guaranteed 0-km odometer reading, this is a dream build for the next owner to enjoy. The professional renovation, custom interior and the large part new original parts guarantee a worry-free ownership.

Hi, is the car registered, insured and fully roadworthy to be driven on the EU territory?

Hi Andzrej, yes it is: "The vehicle's history is well documented, however, certain receipts are missing, including those related to the engine and gearbox, as these have been lost in connection with the estate from which the vehicle was acquired. Hej bilen är registrerad och fullt godkänd för att användas på alla vägar oavsett land. Jag har registreringspapper på den som behövs för att registrera in den i annat land. Den är också försäkrad. Det är bara att kör med bilen. Hälsningar Micke
