Basic information and History

Modern pre-war machine built in 1929, sold in Sweden, from Britain's then largest motorcycle manufacturer, REX. This piece of imperial history has had 2 previous owners and comes with a fantastic 500cc single cylinder engine.

 This well-maintained opportunity comes with a manual, spare parts book, wiring diagram, lists of all JAP engines and registration inspection papers as fun curiosities. The County Board's documents from 1946 are also included among its documentation. Current owner has owned the motorcycle since 1994!

Condition

The motorcycle is described by the seller being in a good condition and has been refurbished for approx. 30 years ago. There are no remarks on chrome, rims or the like. According to the seller, this type of engine sweats via gaskets and heat and that some older oil flows out of the engine when driving. However, the condition is generally described as good, and the seller writes "a good working condition considering the age and technology". Drum brakes are described as being in working condition.

Seat and likes have some wear and patina, which is to be expected for an almost 100-year-old vehicle. Some wear on the back edge of the saddle. Instrumentation is in good condition and mechanically and electrically it works as expected.
