What does the Professional seller label mean on a listing?

It means the seller is a company (e.g., a car dealer or another business) offering the item.

What it means for you as a buyer (short):

  • When you buy from a business, Swedish consumer law (Consumer Purchase Act) applies.
  • When you buy from a private seller, the Sale of Goods Act applies and protections are less extensive.
  • Legally, buying from a professional seller provides stronger protection due to mandatory consumer law.
  • Professional dealers often offer financing (arranged directly with the dealer).

Good to know:

  • As a bidder you have a duty to examine - review the description, photos and video and use the comments section to ask questions so the seller can respond openly and directly. Visit the item if possible.
  • All listing information is certified by the seller (whether private or professional).
  • Bidders Highway is not a party to the purchase agreement or the transaction.
