The Aurora Concours 2025
The Swedish summer idyll of Båstad was once again transformed into an epicenter of design, innovation and passion during The Aurora 2025 – Scandinavia’s most exclusive motoring event. As a proud participant at “The Showfield”, Bidders Highway was on hand to celebrate car culture at its finest.
Bidders Highway at The Aurora 2025
With summer in full bloom, it was Sweden's turn this weekend to take the Concours baton from the sparkling shores of Lake Como, as the automotive world turned its attention to Norrviken Gardens in Båstad for The Aurora Concours 2025. Despite only being its second year in a row, the event grew on all fronts – in size, quality and international impact – with an estimated 15,000 visitors roaming the lush gardens over the weekend. We were treated to the world premiere of Koenigsegg's new track-focused Sadair's Spear and a lineup of vehicles like no other.
The Showfield – a celebration of car passion in all its forms
As the main entrance to the entire event, The Aurora Showfield sets the tone for what the event is all about – a meeting place where all types of cars and enthusiasts are welcome. Whether the car is an everyday icon that evokes nostalgic memories, a quirky enthusiast build or a dream car that turns heads on the street, this is the place where it can shine. Nothing is too small or too expensive – if the car is special to you, it is special to us.
With a curated collection of vehicles – from a mint green Fiat 500 to a nimble British sedan, exclusive Italians and brutal racing legends – our stand visit offered something for every enthusiast. Both famous collector cars and more unknown gems piqued the curiosity of most who passed our stand at The Showfield. Several of the cars that were shown with us will also soon go under the hammer on our auction platform – which created an extra nerve in the air. In fact, the little Fiat 500 that was on site was both finished AND picked up on site by the new lucky owner!
International elegance in a Nordic setting
With the sea as a backdrop and the beautiful gardens as stage, The Aurora created a scene that is not only unique to Sweden – but to all of Europe. The atmosphere at Norrvikens Gardens carried a sense of both classic elegance and modern innovation. It is an event where both champagne and petrol smell equally delicious.
Best of Showfield 2025
In a field that celebrated everything from home-built gems to world-class collector cars, there was one car that really stood out: an exquisitely restored 1948 Jaguar Mark IV. With timeless elegance, British craftsmanship and classic lines, it took home the title of Best of Showfield 2025 and was celebrated on the Concours stage – proof that true style never fades.
We are also particularly proud that our own Erik Cederberg took the main stage in an award-winning 1965 Ginetta G racer – a pure driver’s car that captured the hearts of both the jury and the audience. There he was interviewed by both J.P. Rathgen from Classic Driver, and Bidders Highway’s very own speaker pro Jens Trulsson.
Keep an eye out for our upcoming auctions as this fantastic Ginetta will soon go live.
More than a car meeting – a cultural hub
The Aurora 2025 was bigger than ever. More cars, more visitors and a stage that brings together the best from the world of cars, fashion, design and in addition there were also luxury boats represented in the form of The Aurora Yacht Show. It became clear that the event is not just a concours – but a living meeting place for style, technology and lifestyle in motion. Here car collectors, designers, entrepreneurs and enthusiasts from all over the world meet.
Celebrities and the automotive world's rock stars visiting
Our section The Showfield also featured several celebrities such as Christian Von Koeniggsegg, Porsche icon Magnus Walker, professional racing drivers such as Mikaela Åhlin-Kottulinsky and the super-promising talent and F1 academy driver Alba Hurup Larsen.
Thanks to everyone who visited us
We would like to extend a warm thank you to everyone who came by our booth, shared their stories and passions, told car anecdotes, talked auctions and inspired us to continue our work of highlighting unique cars in a way that makes them accessible to more people.
We leave Båstad with sunshine in our minds, new contacts and – as always – an engine that never stops running.
