Report from the record-breaking weekend with Bimmers of Sweden 2026

Event
There are weekends that feel bigger before they even start. When the first BMWs roll through the gates at Mantorp Park, when the sound of sixes, eights and turbocharged machines begins to bounce between the pit buildings, then you know that Bimmers of Sweden is not just a car meet. It is a gathering point for an entire culture.

Bimmers of Sweden 2026 – record weekend at Mantorp Park

This year's edition of Bimmers of Sweden was, as so many times before, historic. A total of 1,855 BMWs were on site during the weekend, which meant a new attendance record and an increase of over 130 cars compared to the previous year. With this, BOS once again solidifies its place as one of both Europe's and the world's largest BMW gatherings - and perhaps above all as one of the most vibrant meeting places for the next generation of car enthusiasts.

Friday: cruise, burnout and camping life

The event got underway in earnest on Friday evening with the BOS Cruise. Along Mantorp's pit straight, an almost unbroken stream of BMW models rolled in – from classic 2002s and E30s to modern M cars in bright colours. The sun was low over the track, the sounds of engines filled the pit and the atmosphere was built up car by car.

When darkness fell, the BOS Burnout took over. Smoke, engine roar and cheers became the signature of the evening, with cars replacing each other in front of the audience. White clouds of smoke rose above the asphalt, sometimes coloured green, yellow, red or pink, and Mantorp Park was transformed into a stage where both machines and drivers got to show off their loudest side.

Beyond the track, the weekend continued in classic BOS spirit. At the campsite, the tents were packed, the folding chairs were gathered around fires and the smell of grilled sausages mixed with the sound of laughter, music and distant engine revs. It is perhaps right there, between the track and the pit, that much of the soul of Bimmers of Sweden lives.

Saturday: full speed from morning until the awards ceremony

On Saturday, the schedule got underway as early as 09:00. Track driving for experienced classes, amateurs and drifting took turns throughout the day, and Mantorp Park's long straights and technical sections gave both drivers and cars plenty of room to show what they were made of.

Here you could see fast E46s taking the Pariserkurve with precision, low Touring builds with attitude and drivers balancing control and show. Sometimes perfect. Sometimes with a huge cloud of dust outside the track as a memory. Later in the afternoon, the Open Pit took over, and the pace was kept up all the way to the end.

At the same time, the pit area was a living BMW museum. Hoods were open, owners talked about details, modifications and history, and the entire brand was represented. From the 3.5 CSL, green E30 Touring and purple E36 M3 to pink E46 convertible, Z3 Coupé and a whole range of modern M2 G87s. It was an exhibition where the cars weren't just parked – they told something about their owners.

Sound, community and tributes

BOS Loud was, as expected, a crowd magnet. One car at a time rolled forward between two walls of people, the driver accelerated and the sound was decisive. Not just decibels, but character, tone and presence. Then cheers, applause and the next car forward.

The day ended with an awards ceremony in front of the start and finish tower. The organizer handed out trophies and tributes in class after class – from drifting and exhibition to Best in Show. It is in those moments that you notice how much commitment actually lies behind each car, each build and each trip to Mantorp.

Bidders Highway on site with live auctions

For Bidders Highway, this year's Bimmers of Sweden was also an extra fun milestone. During the event, we had five BMW auctions live, and four of them were sold during the weekend. Being able to take the auctions all the way out to the enthusiasts, in the middle of the environment where the cars belong, gave a completely different nerve than behind a screen.

It was proof that the right car, the right audience and the right context can create both engagement and business. For us, it was especially fun to see how naturally the auctions became part of the weekend's pulse – among the show cars, track driving, drifting and all the conversations in the pit.

More than just cars

Bimmers of Sweden is about BMW, but also about something bigger. About community, young enthusiasts, the joy of building and the will to gather around an interest that continues to grow. This year's record of 1,855 BMWs clearly shows that the passion is stronger than ever.

A big thank you to everyone who was there – and an even bigger thank you to all the BMW drivers who, through their participation, also contributed to the customary collection for Barncancerfonden - The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation. A portion of each BMW driver's entry fee is donated, which means that the weekend not only leaves a mark in the form of tire smoke and memories, but also contributes to something truly important. Over the years, the event has even broken the million mark for the amount raised - Amazing!

Bimmers of Sweden 2026 was a record weekend, a folk festival and yet another proof of why Mantorp Park in May is an obvious place for everyone who loves BMW.

Welcome back!
