Basic Information & Background
The Volvo P1800 S is without a doubt one of the most beautiful cars to come from Sweden, and undoubtedly Volvo's best-looking model. This generation has the beautiful upward curved molding on the door and which perhaps not everyone knows, the "S" stands for it is made in Sweden. This item is also sold in Sweden with a nice history and very well documented. The model became most famous after it appeared in the TV series "The Saint" with Roger Moore behind the wheel and is very sought after in the market thanks to the beautiful design.
The car has for many years been a stagnant renovation object where the owners seem to have bought parts but never really started the actual work. Previous owners did a lot of work on the body, undercarriage, front carriage, rear carriage and brakes. The seller has had the engine and gearbox refurbished and installed the interior, electrical system etc. They have tried to use included original parts as much as possible to preserve the soul of the car.
Equipment and spec
Repainted in 2019 in the original color with a renovated interior with red leather, red floor mats and original instrument panel. The heart of the car is a thorough B18 engine with a 4-speed manual gearbox with a working overdrive function that runs amazingly well! The refurbished original wheels are painted in the car's color with chrome hubcaps.
Condition
Exterior: Refurbished in recent years to this fantastic original condition. The car is well documented and it comes with a lot of documents and the car can really withstand being seen under a magnifying glass. The body was painted in 2019 and is still in top condition apart from two minor marks and of course completely rust free. Chrome details are in very good condition, apart from a couple of small dings. The original rims are without remarks, as are the glass parts, which are also in very good condition. Interior. Really nice fully renovated interior reupholstered by saddler in a delicious red genuine leather, replaced floor mat, brand new and fresh headliner and a really nice original steering wheel. Both upper and lower dashboard are reupholstered and all gauges and controls are original and in a fresh condition with a lovely patina! Mechanical. Engine and gearbox have been inspected and refurbished and the car runs fantastically well. The electricity has been checked and newly wired. The tires are in very good condition with approx. 6 mm tread depth and there are no remarks on lighting and no leaks have been noted.
Last service was performed on 2023-08-20, previous service protocol is missing but some receipts are included. There are new pads and backs on the car and both drums and discs are turned / reviewed. The car was last inspected on 20230525 and is now both tax and inspection exempt. Specified odometer reading is 00119 km but cannot be guaranteed.
