Basic information and history
Pontiac TransAm Firebird from the year 2000 which was registered in Sweden in 2003. The car has only had 3 owners over the years, all within the same family. The car has been looked after by the same mechanic throughout the years. All papers are available from the time of importation, including all inspection reports. Total meter reading today is approx. 75,000 miles which can be converted to approx. 120,000 km. The car has been used as a summer car within the family and has been parked during the winter months.
- 2000 Pontiac TransAm with approx. 12000 miles on the odometer
- Well preserved, low mileage and with only three owners within the same family
Equipped with 5.7-liter V8 of approx. 305hp/450nm connected to a 4-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive.
Equipment and options
Equipped with, among other things, leather interior, electric seats, automatic gearbox, electric mirrors and lifts, glass targa and A/C. A/C stopped working last fall. The car is apparently also equipped with the WS.6 performance package, which according to info should mean thicker front anti-roll bars, Ram-Air hood, upgraded exhaust system, 17" rims and more.
Condition
The body is in good condition, but the paint is in need of renovation, if you want the paint to reflect the otherwise fine condition. There are, among other things, plenty of scratches around the door handles, wheel arches and in other places. There are minor clear lacquer leaks on the left lid of the lantern as well as various matt lacquer. Various bubbles can be found on the targa bow. The car is described by the owner as stainless. The overall impression is good, but the car could be very nice with a new coat of paint. Glass panes in good condition. TransAM emblem at the rear is half plastered off. The rims are in good condition and new tires were fitted in 2018.
Interior in fine condition and well preserved. There is normal wear on the side support of the driver's seat. Instrument panel in good condition. Buttons, knobs and controls as well. Door sides in good condition with the usual but minor amount of wear. Inner ceiling in good condition. As previously mentioned, the A/C does not work, but all other functions in the cabin do.
Engine is described as being in top condition. Gearbox and drivetrain in good condition with no noise or problems. Brakes even them without remark. Mechanically, everything works as it should.
Servicehistory
The car has been serviced by the same mechanic since it arrived in Sweden. Service was done last year. All the papers, among these inspection reports, are there since the car came to Sweden. MOT inspection carried out 2024-07-02.
Summary
A very well-preserved example for those looking for a TransAm from the turn of the millennium. With a light coat of paint and a lighter repair and repainting of the driver's seat, you can get an extremely nice and well-preserved example!
