Model information

The Pontiac Fiero was manufactured in the years 1984-1988 and is the first mass-produced American sports car with a mid-engine layout. More than 370,000 examples were manufactured and today there are very few original cars left as most were used to build Kit cars. Pontiac Fiero was the official Pace Car in 1984 for the Indy 500. This sold example was manufactured in 1985 and is equipped with the larger V6 of 2.8 liters and has an automatic transmission.

High idle about 1300 rpm and the speedometer seems to show too high a speed and can be misleading.

The car has been stationary for many years; hence the starter motor sometimes hesitates.
