Basic information and history

Bidders Highway has been given the honour to auction a smaller collection of Lotus cars. We have chosen to name this small but interesting collection to "The Triple Lotus Collection", and you will find all three cars here.

German imported Lotus Esprit Turbo See High-Wing from 1992 with only one user on Swedish soil. The high-wing version of Lotus Esprit is very unusual and according to data only 65 copies must have been manufactured. The car came to Sweden in the autumn of 2021 and today has rolled about 52500km. Nuvarnad meter position can be guaranteed by owners. These hand-built cars were the last cars to be built in the SE series and today stand noticeably higher in price than other Esprit models from the same time. The car is in a delicious condition!

During the photoshoot, we have found little damage in the paint one door and some color chipping behind the plastic around the brake canal at the rear. Windows are in good condition. Mouldings, headlights and emblems as well. The rims are in good condition without damage and got new tires 2021-08-05.

The interior is in good condition and the seating is without regular wear and tear from eg. stepping in and out of the vehicle. The fabric has managed well and has not cracked, which is a common.. Instrument cluster and wooden details are in good condition. Door sides are also in good condition. Inserts are without wear and tear and in good condition. Ceiling is in good condition. Steering wheel, controls and buttons as well. All features in the vehicle works great.

The engine is described to be in good condition, just like the rest of the car. Gearbox and powertrain as well. Brakes are in good condition and have been upgraded to front brakes from a Porsche 996 Bi-Turbo and rear brakes come from an alpine A610. The rims from Esprit V8 measure 8.5x17 front and 10x18 in the rear and have a good amount of depth left. Mechanically, everything works as intended.

Service history

The car had a service 2021-07-08 where oil, filter and drive belt was changed. The battery was replaced with a new one 2023-05-29. It comes with a binder with various documentation from the car's life.

A very nice Lotus Esprit Turbo in the unusual "high-wing" version, made only in 65 copies. This is a great looking example for those looking for a different sports car from the 90s.

The collection

The Triple Lotus Collection

After five years as an engineer and a series of successful racing cars, Colin Chapman formed Lotus Engineering Ltd in 1952. The first model out was the Lotus 6, which was built in 100 copies, also very successful in racing. One of the most famous models is probably the Lotus 7, which is still built today in various replica versions. Focus has always been on light weight and considerable amount of grip, and over the years Lotus has won countless races against opponents with considerably larger engines. Bidders Highway is honoured to auctioning three different Lotus cars. We chose to name this small but spectacular collection "The Triple Lotus Collection".
