Equipment and options

In addition to equipment in the compartment, the car has received a little extra in the form of larger throttle body, Hurricane air filter and sports exhaust system. A diffuser from a newer Elise has also been installed. Original rear end and exhaust system will follow with the car.

Condition

The general condition of the fiberglass can be described by the current owner to be good. There is nothing of dents, worse scratches or door spreads. The car is obviously also stainless. The varnish has improved on the rear of the right rear screen. There are various scratches and less wear and some clear lacquer release around the body. These remarks are documented on pictures in the photo album. Glass panes are in good condition. Lister, lamp glass and emblems are also in good condition. The rims are in good condition and tire patterns are described as good.

The interior is in good condition. There is customary wear on entry-level strips, as well as outer edge of instrument panel, from entry and exit. Controls, steering wheel and buttons in good condition. Cardan tunnel has cracked varnish. The window frame has small scratches in the plastic. Chairs and its materials are in good condition.

Engine is described to be in good condition. Modifications performed are mentioned under equipment and options. Brakes are also in good condition. Under the bonnet, things looks neat and clean and no signs of leakage. Mechanically everything works properly.

Service history

The car has just been serviced with new cam belt, oil, filter and plugs. With the car comes a cover with various documentation and receipts. Pictures of this can be found in the album Documentation. The latest inspection was performed 2023-10-09.

Summary

Albeit Spartan, yet an absolutely fantastic driving experience and incredible grip with its just under 720kg in weight. Lotus Elise is the car for the driver who prioritize driving pleasure above all else!

The collection

The Triple Lotus Collection

After five years as an engineer and a series of successful racing cars, Colin Chapman formed Lotus Engineering Ltd in 1952. The first model out was the Lotus 6, which was built in 100 copies, also very successful in racing. One of the most famous models is probably the Lotus 7, which is still built today in various replica versions. Focus has always been on light weight and considerable amount of grip, and over the years Lotus has won countless races against opponents with considerably larger engines. Bidders Highway is honoured to auctioning three different Lotus cars. We chose to name this small but spectacular collection "The Triple Lotus Collection".
