Basic information and History

Fiat 500, the immensely popular and charming small people's car from Italy. This particular one is presented in a fantastic color combo and is a crowd magnet of rank wherever it appears.

If any car is the car world's version of the classic "dog trick", it's this little Fiat. Everyone who sees it gets excited and wants to come up and admire it. The model was already introduced in 1957 and was produced in various versions until 1975 and was popular both among the people and in a racing context.

This example is a fully restored Fiat 500L (Lusso) 1971 with 18 hp (the larger engine from the sports model).

The car is in very good condition and has been driven very little since the renovation. A unique car with a sober color combination in paint and interior that is predicted to have a nice development in value in the future.

The entire car was completely renovated in Italy and imported by Platinumcars in Norrköping. Everything on the car has been inspected, refurbished or replaced.

The car is currently NOT registered in Sweden and is sold "as-is". The car was in Platinumcar's garage where the seller bought it and has been parked in a warm garage since then. The seller says that the stylish Italian license plates from Milan are included.

Condition

Exterior: The seller lets us know that the car is in a fantastically nice and renovated condition on the outside except for a couple of minor marks that are documented in the album. As mentioned, the car was completely renovated in Italy and then painted in the eye-catching and sober dark blue color that can be seen in the pictures.

The car is completely stainless, glass parts are in top condition and there are no remarks on chrome, moldings or emblems. There is a period-typical metal bag shelf on the tailgate, which is also in top condition and does a lot for the appearance.

The original rims are renovated and the tires are in good condition, but note that they are not genuine "white wall" tires but only decorative. For more info on exact condition see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!

Interior: The delicious saddle brown interior upholstery is apparently in top condition and was replaced during the renovation. The color combination and craftsmanship is like a beautiful Italian shoe and breathes quality. Instrument panel and the rest of the interior are in equally fine renovated condition, the convertible roof works flawlessly and there are no complaints about gauges or other functions inside. For more info on exact condition, see our detailed photos in the album and feel free to ask questions in the comments!

Mechanics: The engine and gearbox work perfectly and run fantastically well on the road. Starts every time like when it was new. Brakes and chassis are in good condition. The car has been driven very sparingly in recent years and is in need of a simpler service. Read odometer reading is 345km but cannot be guaranteed and is probably the mileage since the renovation. See all the photos in the album as well as a video of the car being test driven and feel free to ask questions in the comment field!

Summary

One of the most charming cars ever made in a very rare and amazingly fine restored condition! These models continue to be sought after on the market, especially refurbished ones, and are predicted to have a positive value development in the coming years. A car that does just as well in a museum as it does on the road and is guaranteed to bring a lot of joy to future owners!
