Basic information and HistoryThe Corvette is a model with a very long history, it is considered America's first sports car and has always been a very sought-after model on the market. The C2 generation was a big upgrade compared to the C1 where the driving characteristics were the biggest difference. This 1964 year model was imported to Sweden in 2021 from the USA and the seller is the only owner in Sweden.The car is equipped with a newer V8 350 cui of 300 hp with a four-port Holley carburettor and has a 4-speed manual transmission with a comfortable and easy-to-drive clutch and tight gear positions. Generally speaking, it is a really neat and nice car that stands out as all black with a discreet, stylish red pinstripe. There is also a lot of documentation on maintenance from over the yearsConditionExterior: The seller says that the car is in very good used condition on the outside apart from a couple of minor marks that are documented in the album. It has a nice glossy black paint with painted red pinstripes. Rally Wheels with center cover and snob ring with 225-70-15 Red-Line tires with approx. 7 mm tread depth. The car has been repainted on some previous occasion but the date is unknown. During inspection -21, under "Good to know" some rust was noted on the rear mounts. This relatively simple repair has already been addressed on the left side but not the hay. Glass parts, moldings, emblems and chrome have no remarks. The roof is in very nice and fully functional condition and has always been stored with the roof up and is free of damage, cracks or marks. The black interior contrasts really well with the paint and the combination is just the icing on the cake. The instrument panel is free of cracks or major signs of sun fading but has a couple of marks around the glove box. The controls are apparently original controls in fine condition with a little patina. All gauges and other functions in the interior are in a good and working condition and there is a retro stereo in the car with extra speakers and CD changer. Meter setting cannot be guaranteed. As can be seen, the engine has been well maintained and had many parts replaced over the years. The last service was carried out in 2022 by the seller himself and there is no service book. The car runs straight and fine on the road and all brakes are in good condition. The original wheels are very nice and the tires have about 6mm of tread left. A very easy-to-drive and nice car!
