Basic Information & BackgroundThe Corvette is a model with a very long history, it is considered America's first sports car and has always been a very sought-after model on the market. The C2 generation was a big upgrade compared to the C1 where the driving characteristics were the biggest difference. This 1963 model year was imported to Sweden in 1989 from North Carolina, the current owner bought it in 2020 from the previous owner who had owned the car for over 14 years and is also the one who did the restoration on it. According to information, the car is 1/10 in Sweden with the 327 at 345 hp, which gives the car really nice speed reserves together with the 4-speed manual gearbox.ConditionExterior: The car has driven about 350 miles after the renovation, as you can see from the condition. The chrome is in top condition and breaks off nicely against the red paint. The paintwork is in good condition but there are a few minor marks that can be seen in the pictures, but the car presents itself very well! The soft top works well but has loosened a bit on the sides which should be fixed to get it in perfect working and aesthetic condition.Interior: The interior is in a nice original condition and new carpets throughout the car. The seats are in very good condition with very little wear, as is the steering wheel and original dashboard. Original meter works and has some "patina" on the glass (see pictures for more info).Mechanical: Inspected in March 2020 without remarks and is now both tax and inspection exempt. Engine and box are in very good condition and serviced. There is a new exhaust system together with a couple of headers that give the car an absolutely fantastic sound. Power steering and chassis are also renovated with, among other things, New front carriage, new rear carriage with composite spring, new shock absorbers and anti-roll bars. The tires are new classic Coker Red Line with 5.5" Corvette America Bolt-on rims. The odometer shows only 5590 km but cannot be guaranteed and is sold as "TMU" (True mileage unknown).SummaryA really cool and refurbished example of a classic icon that both runs and looks as it should! These models have had a very stable price picture and fine specimens like this one always have, and will always be sought after on the market.
