Basic information and History

Bidders Highway is honoured to help auctioning off one of the country's most solid and well-built vehicle transporters. The vehicle is based on a 1948 Chevrolet COE Loadmaster but is rebuilt to modern standards with the powertrain, interior, electrical system, brakes and front end from a 1998 Dodge Ram 3500. The vehicle is built by a person with a long career in coach built trucks and specialty vehicles. The vehicle is of course registered and inspected in its current version! A big plus is that the vehicle today is both tax- and inspection-exempt.

This is the build for anyone who wants an absolutely unique and well-built vehicle transporter that works perfectly as a PR car or as the most unique transporter for your collector and enthusiast vehicles. Equipped with a 5.9-liter Cummins diesel six of approx. 215 hp with turbo and intercooler connected to a three-speed automatic with overdrive. The total weight of the vehicle is 6,520 kg and the load weight is 2,400 kg.

Equipment and Options

Equipped with, among other things, A/C, modern stereo, cruise control, electric lifts, power steering, ABS brakes, lockable transportation space under the flatbed and everything modern you need to transport your enthusiast vehicle easily, smooth and safely. Except earlier mentioned equipment, we also find:

Condition

This truck comes in absolutely exquisite condition and the paint, Luxury Brown Pearlcoat from Jeep Grand Cherokee, does extremely well on the vehicle. Both body and flatbed have been primed with epoxy. All chrome has been rechromed and is in very good condition. There are no worse scratches, dents or door dents. Glasing, moldings and emblems in perfect condition.

The interior is also of course in very good condition. During the construction, the car received a new roof, door sides, door locks, handles and mouldings. A new retro stereo has also been installed. Instrument panel, buttons and controls in good condition. Of course, the material on the seating surfaces is also in good condition without wear. Inner ceiling as well.

The engine and mechanics are also in as good condition as the rest of the vehicle.
