Basic information and HistoryChevrolet Bel Air from 1957, imported from the states. The second generation Bel Air began its sales in 1955 and was only produced for two years, until 1957. The magazine Motor Trend Magazine praised the Bel Air for its handling, good comfort and driving visibility. This Chevy comes as a 4-door model with the 283cui (4.6 liter) small block V8 connected to a Power Glide 2-speed automatic.Equipment and Options This is a California-vehicle, meaning there is an absence of a heating package. In addition to standard equipment, an aftermarket stereo, bass box and temp and volt tachos are installed. Currently, straight pipes is installed on the car but the original end pipes with damper is included.ConditionThe exterior has plenty of patina.. There are, among other things, marks, paint chips, scratches and minor rust. The chrome has wear. The rims have surface wear. Headlights and indicator lenses are in good condition. The interior has wear and tear. The material on the front sofa has cracked, but the rear one looks fine. The roof has held up well over the years and is in its place. There are, among other things, color flaking on the instrument panel. The condition on the inside reflects the patina of the outside, but is still looks at as in usable condition. However, the speedometer does not work.
Mechanically, the seller reports that the car works well. Engine and gearbox run as they intend to. An extra gearbox that is defective is included with the vehicle. A cooling fan is mounted on the outside of the radiator. Aftermarket intake is installed. Surfaces are worn under the hood and on engine parts. Underneath, the car looks nice and does not show much rust. Few American cars run during the winter months and usually have survived relatively well from rust.
