The motorcycle has been renovated from the ground up over a long period of time and receipts are found on most parts. The engine and gearbox have been refurbished and the entire bike has been repainted, including the rims. All spokes have been re-chromed. New upholstery on the seat cushion. Alternator and magnetic ignition are refurbished, as well as much more. The motorcycle is of course free from rust and without scratches or damage to the paintwork. A number of parts, including screens, have been replaced with new original parts. Chrome, moldings and lamp glass are in very good condition. The tires have full tread depth.
Engine is described as being in very good condition. As previously mentioned, the gearbox and driveline have been refurbished. Brakes have also been renovated, but of course take worse than today's brakes because lower demands on braking performance in the 50s. Mechanically, the motorcycle works very well!
Service history
At the last service, the oil, seals, gaskets and battery were changed. There is some documentation from the 90s onwards. The last inspection took place in 2018 and the motorcycle is of course inspected and registered with the sidecar.
Summary
The current owner bought the motorcycle from his uncle who was a collector of vintage vehicles. Many hours of work have gone into getting it to its present condition, and this is a perfect bike for those who appreciate larger model British 50's. A huge plus is the charming sidecar that the "Twin" model comes with!
